Walking Worthy of Our Calling (part 2)

The calling of every J-walker provides tools for change, instructions for correction, divine transformation, and a power source from God Himself.  But what does it mean to walk worthy of such a calling?

This lesson shares a religious survey which reveals some alarming truths about the level of devotion to worthiness among modern believers.  Far too many professing Christians in today’s religious scene have convinced themselves that their “weak walk” is actually a “worthy walk.”  Satisfaction has become the greatest deterrent to walking worthy of the divine calling.   This deception lies at the root of many personal struggles and explains why so many do not achieve the transformation available within the power of God.

This lesson will begin to examine what Paul outlined as characteristics of the walk worthy of a believer’s spiritual calling.   Using the text of Colossians chapter one, two points will be shared in this study:

  1. A worthy walk is one that seeks to understand and live within the will of God.
  2. A walk worthy of its calling is one that seeks to please God in its every attitude and action.

The call to a worthy walk is a grave spiritual challenge and one to which every J-walker must give serious thought and consideration.  There is little else more significant to one’s spiritual health than the worthiness of their walk with the King.
