Isaiah’s Dimensions of Jesus

It’s the time of year when the birth of Jesus is on the minds of most Christians.  His arrival to our planet indeed is worthy of consideration and celebration!  The message delivered to the shepherds is earth and life changing:   “…today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”  Luke 2:11.

Around seven hundred years before those shepherds heard the angel’s announcement, Isaiah spoke of the coming Messiah.  This lesson will examine three dimensions of Isaiah’s portrayal of Jesus.  Specifically, the path of his coming and living on earth,  the purpose of his entrance into our world, and the plan He established while among humanity.

The truly significant issue during this holiday season is not how one chooses to celebrate the birth of Jesus, but what you do and how you comply with the path, purpose and plan He delivered.
