The Good News…

Phil Robertson, aka Duck Commander and star of the Duck Dynasty television program, has a story to tell.  He has openly confessed a past filled with all forms of worldliness.  A worldliness delivering only meaninglessness and futility.

But someone shared with Phil the means of escaping his self-serving, guilt-ridden life.  It is called the “gospel” aka “the good news.”   The good news is that which turned Phil’s life around.  It gave his life purpose and his heart something to share.   It lies at the root of his work as a father and grandfather.  It is the foundation beneath his service as an elder and preacher.  The wonders of the Gospel provides the motivation for the lesson you are about to hear.  A lesson filled with passion and concern.  A lesson from Phil’s heart.

Originally the lesson was given in Phil’s home congregation in West Monroe.  It was downloaded from the White’s Ferry Road church of Christ website.  It is a second service lesson given on an Easter Sunday (2014).  Scripture references have been added to the website video for reference and clarification.
