Kinsman of Consolation

Joseph was called Barnabas by the apostles.  We are told in Scripture that Barnabas means “son of encouragement.” 

This lesson examines some of the specific concepts contained in the original word translated as “encouragement” in Acts 4:36.    It appears in other passages where it is translated by multiple English words.   Looking into this broader understanding of the original word puts more marvel in the wonders of this amazing man.
