The Devastation of Discouragement

Discouragement is one of the most effective tools the great deceiver uses against the servants of God.  It is devastating when the people of God make the choice to live within the boundaries of discouragement.  Discouragement limits God, weakens believers, and stagnates the spiritual atmosphere of the church body.

Three objectives exist within this lesson:

1)  To define discouragement.  Understand our English usage, the N.T. usage and O.T. appearances of the concept of discouragement.

2) To view triggers of discouragement.   Numbers eleven outlines three triggers which easily send one into discouragement.

3) To discuss the negative dispositions which develop when one chooses to live within the power of discouragement.
