Mystery – The Church as The Body (Ailment – Sense of Uselessness)

 The symbol of the church as a body is one holding multiple implications.  We have studied how this analogy establishes a deep dependence upon the head of the body – Jesus.  We have also started to examine what the Bible says regarding the manner in which individual body parts relate to one another.   This brings us face-to-face with  ailments which attack the health of Christ’s body.   The first illness, was the difficulty body members have with their diversities and differences.

This lesson looks at how a sense of uselessness can disease the body of Christ.  The text of 1 Cor. 12:14-20 will offer three inoculating truths which the Great Physician offers to keep His body members from falling victim to the perils of feeling useless.
