Mystery – The Church as the Body (Ailment: Struggles with Diversity)

This lesson begins with a reading from Oliver Sacks’ book, “The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat.”  In this work Dr. Sacks shares perspective on several of his unique neurological cases.  The reading comes from a segment entitled, “The Disembodied Lady.”  A chapter outlining Christina and her lost sense of proprioception.  We will define this condition and make some spiritual applications to members of Jesus’ spiritual body.

There are many ailments which can produce a loss of proprioception in the spiritual body.  The one looked at in this lesson is:  difficult dealing with diversities.  Our study will look to some of how this difficulty develops and displays itself.
