The Paralysis of Grace

We have found thus far that grace is often experienced more deeply when its marvel is contrasted with some malicious situation.  However, it is not easy to get our hearts attuned to discerning God’s grace while in the clutches of personal ache and anxiety.  The truth is, most of us struggle to find and experience grace almost every time an undesirable circumstance presents itself.

Nehemiah chapter five will show us that perhaps worse than the difficult of experiencing grace in times of turmoil, is turning away from grace and allowing it to be paralyzed by our own destructive attitudes.  This lesson (part one) will outline how the “good work” (Neh. 2:18) and the “mind to work” (Neh. 4:6) turn catatonic when minds become corrupted.
