The Meaning of Life

Most people at some point slow down enough to ponder the ultimate question:  Why am I here?  What purpose does my life hold?  What meaning is there to my existence?  These are questions everyone must answer or purposefully avoid.

This lesson will look at one man who elected to deeply engage in a process to discover the meaning to such questions.  Within the book of Ecclesiastes,  Solomon will explain his research into the subject of the human reason for existence.

Two primary principles are reached within Solomon’s life experiment.  First, there is no self-generated value inherent within physical life itself.   Everything produced within the realm of physical life has severe limitations in offering life-long, sustainable fulfillment.

Secondly, that which is apparent may not be the real.  Things often appear very different than they actually are.  This truth possesses the ability to corrupt human conclusions concerning any proposed meaning to life.
