From Riches to Rags
The text we look at today tells of king Asa of Judah. His reign began with him “doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord.” As a result, the times of peace enabled him to reinforce the cities with towers, walls and fortifications. In this lesson we will look at two contributing reasons for Asa’s success.
However, the story doesn’t stop there. Asa begins to forfeit his relationship with God and thus the blessings God was supplying to him. We will also find some reasons for that failure.
