Building Strong Families (2)
Last week we established the importance of building stronger families by applying the principle of PRIORITIZING. We discovered certain steps which aid in that process:
- Cultivate Commitment – A commitment to spiritual things is foundational to strong families. A sense of spiritual obligation as a priority fulfills Jesus’ admonition to “seek first the kingdom…” (Mt. 6:34)
- Calibrate Calendar – Endless events will suffocate the family calendar unless a process of prioritizing is in place.
- Concentrate on Communication – Family communication must hold a position of priority for both parents and children.
This second lesson looks to a second principle to aid in developing strong families, PLAN. Strong families find avenues by which they plan to support godly values, to appreciate each other, and adjust to the hazards of life.
